Early in the morning, just outside our door, down a short sidewalk path, this view of the misty grey sky revealed how close we were to the Dead Sea!

Waterfalls await as little surprises between massive rocks. The hiking trail has been enhanced with stairs and side rails for safety, but most parents allow their small children to walk it themselves. The water was clear and cold.
This is where King David spent time, and where he wrote many of the Psalms….a great relief from the heat of the sun, and lots of quiet shady spots to pray.
