Haifa Bay waters are from the Mediterranean, but this view is actually eastward, which makes for a beautiful morning! Out on the balcony, I could hear a man singing the Shemah from a nearby window.

We watched TV coverage of the funeral of Shimon Peres, former president of Israel, as world leaders came to show their respect. Afterward, we went to the beach and then to the market for challah, with plans to attend a Shabbat Dinner with some Israeli friends who live nearby…a GREAT experience!

Shabbat Shalom!
