This Friday, we invite you to join us at the Holocaust Garden of Hope for a meaningful and historic evening of reflection, prayer, remembrance, and community as we observe Shabbat at the Garden Gate in recognition of the nation’s first-ever officially designated national Sabbath observance: Shabbat 250.

As part of National Jewish Heritage Month and America’s 250th anniversary commemoration, President Donald Trump called upon the nation to observe a National Sabbath, recognizing the enduring importance of Jewish faith, reflection, gratitude, and service to others in shaping the American story.

At a time when antisemitism is rising around the world, this moment carries profound significance. It is an opportunity not only to honor Jewish heritage and tradition, but to stand visibly and publicly in support of the Jewish community and the values of remembrance, faith, and moral courage.

Join us as we gather in the Garden for:

• Guided tours of the Holocaust Garden of Hope at 5:00 PM
• A special Shabbat gathering from 6:00–7:00 PM
• Candle lighting, challah, music, and shared reflection
• Israeli praise dance led by the North Houston Davidic Dance Group

Together, we will pause to remember the past, pray for the future, and reaffirm the responsibility we share to stand against hatred and indifference.

The Holocaust Garden of Hope exists to ensure that remembrance is not passive, but active, lived, and carried forward through community. We would be honored to welcome you.
