Israel Trip Fall 2016 – Day 18 Sukkah Building at March of Life House
Lesley and Petra were hoping to become acquainted with their neighbors…their first sukkah made the connection for them!
The morning was full of anticipation! Petra and Lesley were ready to make the sukkah happen. Rozalie and Lesley gathered special greenery from the yard, and fruit, then added some of the decorations from the store. Lesley already had a bag full of decorations in preparation for the day.
Petra and I worked on the structure, and up it went!
A beautiful holiday symbol of ancient meaning, for all the world to see! The neighbors, who had been shy since the new tenants arrived, came near and wished “Chag Sameach!” and admired the beautiful creation. They visited for the first time, to the joy of the March of Life House staff.
We spent time that evening in the Sukkah and also came back the next morning for prayers.
